About PeerGenius: An AI Peer Review Tool Built by a Researcher

PeerGenius is a peer review tool built to give every researcher access to multi-perspective manuscript feedback. Whether you're submitting to a journal, preparing for a defense, or posting a preprint.

Our Mission

Peer review takes months. When feedback finally arrives, it often flags problems that could have been caught before submission: statistical issues, methodological gaps, unclear writing.

PeerGenius gives researchers immediate, multi-perspective feedback on their manuscripts. Upload your paper, get detailed reviews in minutes, fix the problems before a journal reviewer finds them. See our manuscript preparation guides or try the free Reviewer 2 Generator.

How It Works

1

Upload Your Manuscript

Submit your PDF or DOCX manuscript along with any figures, tables, or supplementary materials. Our system automatically extracts and indexes all content.

2

Choose Your Review Tier

Select from Basic (1 reviewer), Standard (4 reviewers), or Premier (7 reviewers + Editor). Each tier provides progressively more comprehensive analysis.

3

Specialist Reviewers Analyze Your Work

Our specialist reviewers work in parallel, each examining your manuscript from a different perspective: methodology, statistics, domain expertise, clarity, and more.

4

Get Actionable Feedback

Within minutes, receive detailed reviews with specific strengths, concerns, and suggestions. Premier tier includes an Editor-in-Chief consolidation with a unified decision letter.

Our Review Panel

Each reviewer specializes in a specific dimension of scientific review, providing multi-perspective feedback on your manuscript:

Domain Expert

Field-specific knowledge, literature context, and novelty assessment

Adversarial Skeptic

Challenges assumptions, identifies logical gaps, tests conclusions

Statistical Methods Expert

Deep statistical analysis with verification code and methodology review

Results Accuracy Checker

Verifies calculations, data consistency, and result reporting

Systematic Reviewer

Methodology evaluation, reproducibility, and reporting standards

Pragmatic Reviewer

Clarity, accessibility, practical significance, and presentation

Scientific & Technical Writer

Scientific writing quality, terminology consistency, and style refinement

Editor-in-Chief

Synthesizes all feedback into a unified decision letter (Premier tier)

The Technology

PeerGenius runs on frontier language models with extended thinking capabilities. Each reviewer is powered by a model selected for its specific strengths in that dimension of scientific analysis:

  • Extended Reasoning: Deep thinking capabilities for complex analysis
  • Multimodal Analysis: Understanding of figures, tables, and equations
  • Domain Expertise: Broad scientific knowledge across disciplines
  • Statistical Verification: Ability to generate corrective code in R, Python, and Stata

The review panel works in parallel, with each specialist analyzing your manuscript from a different perspective. Results come back in minutes, not months. The system was designed by a researcher and validated against peer reviews from BMJ.

Privacy & Security

Your manuscripts are unpublished research. We treat them accordingly.

  • Automatic Deletion: All manuscripts are deleted after 30 days
  • No AI Training: Your work is never used to train AI models
  • Encryption: Data encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Secure Processing: Industry-standard security measures

Ray W. Shiraishi, Ph.D.

Mathematical Statistician, Researcher, and Founder of PeerGenius

Ray is a mathematical statistician with 70+ publications in journals including The Lancet HIV, MMWR, Epidemiology, AIDS, and JAIDS. He has spent years reviewing manuscripts and watching good research get rejected for fixable problems.

The pattern is consistent: papers get sent back not because the science is weak, but because a statistical choice went undefended, a methods section was vague, or a limitation was obvious to a reviewer but invisible to the authors. PeerGenius simulates those reviewer perspectives before submission, so researchers can fix the problems that would otherwise cost them months.
